This notable award celebrates the resilience of individuals who have made significant contributions to our communities. By honoring these exceptional individuals, we inspire immigrants to make a positive impact on our society.
Our Objectives:
Celebrating Excellence: South Asia Expo honors the outstanding achievements of immigrants who have made significant contributions to their respective fields in British Columbia. By awarding their contribution, we inspire others and develop a culture of appreciation for the diverse talent and skills that immigrants bring to our community.
Highlighting Contributions: We recognize the invaluable contributions that immigrants make to the economic, social, and cultural fabric of British Columbia. Our goal is to build a stronger sense of community and unity, celebrating the diverse experiences and perspectives that enrich our collective growth and prosperity.
Supporting Communities: The South Asia Expo supports immigrant communities by providing a platform for recognition and appreciation. Through their stories, contributions, and accomplishments, we hope to encourage others to overcome challenges and pursue their dreams with confidence.
Promoting Global Network: The South Asia Expo provides an opportunity for immigrants, community leaders, professionals, and organizations to connect, collaborate, and build meaningful relationships. We believe in the power of networking to create new opportunities and support immigrants to succeed.
The Selection Process:
The Top 10 BC Immigrant Awards program follows a strict selection process to ensure fairness and integrity for BC immigrant award recipients. Here are the details of our nomination process:
Nominations: Candidates who have made remarkable contributions in their respective fields are eligible to be nominated for the South Asia Expo’s Top 10 BC Immigrant Award 2025. They must be 18 or older, a landed immigrant or a citizen of Canada, and have a proven track record of contributing to the province of British Columbia.
Only individuals who have immigrated to Canada will be accepted as nominees. Their contribution to the province of British Columbia should have made a particular or significant impact, as related to their achievements highlighted in their nomination.
The achievements highlighted in their nomination should have a particularly significant impact on the province of British Columbia. However, no members of the Global Conference Alliance Inc. are eligible to be nominated for the award. These conditions are mandatory to maintain transparency in the BC Immigrant Award Eligibility process.
Self-Nomination: South Asia Expo gives you the chance to submit your own name if you are eligible for the awards and have made a major contribution to British Columbia. Before that, you need to ensure that your nomination is backed by an individual who is already renowned for their contribution.
So, it is necessary to attach the reference of the contributed individual when submitting your name for the BC immigrant awards. We also recommend adding the statements or comments of those individuals about why you deserve to be nominated.
Nomination for The South Asia Expo: Nominations for the Top 10 BC Immigrant Awards will be open exclusively from January 1, 2025, to March 31, 2025, on our website. After the nomination period ends, eligible nominees will be available for online voting from April 1, 2025, to May 31, 2025.
The top 50 nominees with the most votes will be selected, and their profiles will be reviewed by our esteemed Jury panel for possible BC Immigrant Awards. Winners will be announced on our website and social media on June 1, 2025. The award ceremony will take place on August 31, 2025, during the closing ceremony of the South Asia Expo.
Verification and Evaluation: As a part of our selection process, we carefully check the backgrounds and verify the credentials and achievements of all nominees. Our selection team always maintains the highest standard of integrity and transparency in this process.
Our panel of judges includes experts with deep knowledge and experience in the field. They precisely evaluate each candidate based on clear criteria to ensure fairness.
